Animal Patterns: A movie

Our school wide inquiry is in Visual Arts this term. Art Alive is the slogan that everyone uses at the school when referring to this term's inquiry. The shared inquiry focus will culminate in an art exhibition in the school hall at the end of the term.

The year 1 teachers decided to integrate the annual trip to the Auckland Zoo by focusing on animal patterns. What a great idea!

Following the trip each student selected an animal for their art. They chose a photograph of their animal, created a digital representation of the animal and finally used materials to explore the pattern.

Our movie shows just how much the class enjoyed learning about animal patterns!
